Kiyoshi Kuroda

Born in 1975 in Tokyo. Graduated from Tama University of Arts with a MFA degree. Since 2003, he started his career as a free-lance illustrator and designer. He uses plants, insects and animals as his favorite subjects, and tries to depict their beauty of organic shape and grotesque poison by using sensitive flat lines. He grew up with looking at the plant and insect picture books obsessively and fascinated by their beauty. With his artwork, he hopes to capture elements such as live and death, stirring and calmness or those that are contrary coexist.
